My marriage with B resides in rivers, mountains, road trips as well as twenty plus years in the Casa Alegre neighborhood in Santa Fe. This collection was gathered in 2006. As I reviewed the poems I recognized the power of place and its impact on my marriage. I first created a small edition chapbook with a cover that looked like limestone. And then found myself wanting to include images that strongly reflected our journey together… in New Mexico and beyond. I experimented with variations in book form to weave image, word and book object.
