Journey through Ancestors, Mothers, Muses. This body of work uses multimedia, fabric, poetry, image, sound and artwork. Embedded with images, objects and words, the dresses are intended to evoke facets of women’s lives. These elements make up the experience in installation environments. My invitation is to explore: Who are our ancestors, mothers, muses? What companionship and wisdom do they offer? What are the traditions and rituals passed from one generation to another in our lineage? What are the rituals of joy and loss shared woman to woman? Who inspires and accompanies us as muse?
